Live Burn Drill 4/23/16

In an effort to maintain our skills our station held a live burn drill the morning 4/23/2016 at the Burlington County Emergency Services Training Center in Westampton.  We utilized the Class “A” building which has burn racks for straw to simulate fire and smoke conditions.  Firefighters practiced short staffing scenarios in which they worked in teams of no more than two in an effort to stretch hoselines, perform searches, and other fireground responsibilities.  It was a physically demanding day but necessary so our firefighters are ready for the reality of what they may encounter and how little they may have to work with.
