Welcome to the new home of Crosswicksfire.org. This is the official website of the Union Fire Company #1 protecting Chesterfield / Hamilton Township District 1. The company is made up of volunteers who are supported Monday-Friday from 7am to 5pm by four career firefighters. The career staff also mans the township ambulance from Squad 269. We are your fire company providing service to our neighbors since 1822. Feel free to look around the site and learn about us. Your feedback is welcomed as this site is always evolving.

On Saturday Aug, 16th the residents of Fire District #1 approved the purchase of "a ladder fire truck and any equipment necessary in connection therewith" for the district. The ballot asked if the voters would authorize the district "to expend therefore, including incidental expenses, the sum not exceeding $630,000 and to issue bonds of the Fire District for said purposes in the principle amount not exceeding $630,000". With 143 residents turning out, the proposal won with a 77 voters approval to 66.

On Saturday Aug, 23rd, The Union Fire Company is sponsoring Splash Day 2008! Come out to the Crosswicks Community House from 2-4 pm. In addition to the wet fun, there will be make your own ice cream sundaes. Come out and cool off!

The Chesterfield-Hamilton Fire District #1 and The Union Fire Company wish Lt. Peach the best of luck with his new endeavors with the West Windsor Emergency Services. We thank you for your 3 1/2 years of dedicated service. You will be replaced, but not missed.

This is a reminder that the next pancake breakfast hosted by the Union Fire Company on June 1st, will be the last one before we take our summer break. There will be no breakfast in July or August. Thanks, and we'll see you in september!
