October 5-11 is Fire Prevention Week
The Union Fire Company will be out visiting area schools and educating our youth. We will be out at:
Oct 7 - Chest Elementary School & Church of God
Oct 8 - CB Lamb Elementary School
Oct 9 - Village Nursery School
Students can expect to see firefighters talk about the importance of fire safety, a fireman's gear, and their favorite... the fire trucks! For more information about Fire Prevention Week, please visit www.firepreventionweek.org.

The Union Fire Company is hosting its bi-annual Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday September 27th, 2008. Dinner will be served from 3 - 7 pm at the Crosswicks Fire House. Adults are $8, children age 6-12 are $5, and children under age 5 are Free. Take out is also available for $9. We hope to see you there!Posted by Administrator

On Saturday Aug, 16th the residents of Fire District #1 approved the purchase of "a ladder fire truck and any equipment necessary in connection therewith" for the district. The ballot asked if the voters would authorize the district "to expend therefore, including incidental expenses, the sum not exceeding $630,000 and to issue bonds of the Fire District for said purposes in the principle amount not exceeding $630,000". With 143 residents turning out, the proposal won with a 77 voters approval to 66. Posted by B. Clarke
